Last week, I attended AI India Conclave 2023, organized by FICCI. The event explored the dynamic landscape of artificial intelligence (AI) and its profound impact on India’s growth and development. The conclave brought together experts, leaders, and visionaries to discuss the transformative potential of AI across various sectors, shaping the future of our nation.

This year’s conclave, held in New Delhi, was graced by luminaries and thought leaders from government, industry, and academia who collectively shed light on the remarkable advancements and potential of AI in India.

Throughout the conclave, experts discussed its role in healthcare, its potential to empower a data-rich nation, and its impact on diagnosing diseases. Moreover, the conclave touched on critical domains such as generative AI, agritech, ethical considerations, assistive technologies, and the confluence of cybersecurity and AI.

Abhinav Johri, Partner – Technology Consulting, EY India, stressed that cloud leadership fosters innovation. With 80% of Indian organizations using the cloud for intelligent applications like Gen AI, India is becoming a hub for cloud-first companies.

Generative AI’s success relies on the cloud’s datasets and infrastructure, offering scalability and pre-trained models. However, challenges like cost management, talent gaps, and cybersecurity must be addressed.

The FICCI AI India Conclave 2023 showcased India’s journey toward a digitally-driven future, where cloud and data innovations drive growth and innovation, helping organizations gain a competitive edge.
